Adoption process
-
The cats at ES Cat Lounge are available for adoption through Cat Rescue & Adoption Network (CRAN) or Felines Fairygodmother Rescue. Click on these links if you are interested in an Adoption Application through CRAN or Felines Fairygodmother Rescue.
-
Unfortunately, it is not possible to have same day adoptions for cats in the Cat Lounge (no one leaves with a cat the first day they meet them). Adoptions are not first-come, first-served; personnel from the cat rescues will choose the adoption applicant who best suits the needs for the cat.*
-
Adoption Applications will be forwarded to an adoption counselor at the Rescue that has all the cat's records of history, spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations, and veterinary care. The rescues are all-volunteer organizations, so please be patient with the adoption process, which may take 2 weeks or more to be completed.
-
If things don't work out with the cat in your home, we will take the cat back on behalf of the rescue network. It is part of the adoption agreement that you will not rehome the adopted cat and will keep it as an indoor-only cat.
* If the cat is not available for your application, an adoption counselor will contact you to talk about other cats.
