The Cat Lounge is a peaceful oasis where people come to relax and enjoy feline companionship. It provides a unique community experience and a different approach to pet adoption; all are welcome, even if you're not looking to adopt. The $15 entrance fee is not "paying to pet cats," it goes directly to the cats' expenses and supports the Lounge to be able to exist. Together, we’re changing lives — one cat at a time. As of July 21, 2026, we've helped 261 cats find their furever homes! We do not take in outside cats from the public.

Adoption applications are available at TwitchyTailsRescue.com and all adoption fees go directly to the Rescue; the process is facilitated by volunteers and may take a few days (there are no same day adoptions).
Adoption process
-
Fill out an application for adoption through Twitchy Tails Rescue to adopt from the cats at our lounge.
-
Unfortunately, it is not possible to have same day adoptions for cats in the Cat Lounge (no one leaves with a cat the first day they meet them). Adoptions are not first-come, first-served; personnel from the cat rescues will choose the adoption applicant who best suits the needs for the cat.*
-
Adoption Applications will be forwarded to an adoption counselor at the Rescue that has all the cat's records of history, spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations, and veterinary care. The rescues are all-volunteer organizations, so please be patient with the adoption process, which may take a few days to complete.
-
-
If things don't work out with the cat in your home, we will take the cat back on behalf of the rescue network. It is part of the adoption agreement that you will not rehome the adopted cat and will keep it as an indoor-only cat.
* If the cat is not available for your application, an adoption counselor will contact you to talk about other cats.
